CLASS 3 RIVER RAFTING ON THE PACUARE
The Pacuare River is one of the great river rafting destinations in the world. Class two, three and four rapids give both experienced and novice rafters an exciting ride. The river is also blessed with incredible natural beauty and verdant primary forest. Rafters will be trained in safety procedures and will be guided by knowledgeable and certified guides. This day long adventure is one of the highlights to a Costa Rican experience.

costa rica spanish schoolsStudents will be picked up by a private motor coach at 6:30 in the morning. They will be transported through the hills and valleys toward the river, stopping along the way at a restaurant with a beautiful view of the valley. The whole including breakfast takes about two hours. Once at the river, students will be assigned a raft and a guide. They will go through all the safety procedures including putting on helmets and lifejackets.

Once on the water students will raft down this incredible river valley surrounded by lush forests and diverse wildlife. After about three hours on the river, students will stop for lunch at a campsite overlooking the river. There the food will be typical Costa Rican with plenty of it. The stop will last about an hour, giving students time to relax and enjoy their surrounding.

At the end of the river is the pullout point. Here students will have an opportunity to shower, change cloths and get a snack. The bus will pick the students back up and transport them the two hours back to San Jose. We arrive back at the hotel at about 5pm, with time to relax before dinner. Students will be happy and tired after their exciting day of rafting. This is always one of the highlights of the program.
