The Picturesque Buena Vista Lodge is located 45 minutes north and east of Liberia. Situated near the Rincon de la Vieja National Park it sits on 1600 acres, much of which is primary and secondary forest. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area with monkeys, deer, sloths, ant-eaters, squirrels and pisotes. The birding is some of the best in Costa Rica, which is saying something. There are numerous trails on the grounds as well as four different waterfalls.

With the peaks of the dormant volcanoes behind it and the incredible views of the Guanacaste Plane and Pacific Ocean beyond, the lodge has and excellent vantage point. The amenities are world class as well. There is a hot springs resort on the grounds, as well as a waterslide, two restaurants, tour facilities, swimming pools and over 60 cabins.

All of the rooms are semi-private with full baths. There is an internet cafe and souvenir shop on the grounds as well. Each cabins is made from native woods and offers a unique and pleasant environment.
