River Rafting on the Rio Colorado
Students are transported by bus to the Rio Colorado. At the river, students receive a half an hour of training in how to raft, along with safety tips and emergency procedures. Once on the river, students will experience great rafting on one of Costa Ricas many amazing rivers. The rapids are class two and three, which makes them perfect for beginners and experienced rafters alike. The northern countryside is very different from the southern and eastern mountain ranges. The river flows westward to the Pacific from a tall range of dormant volcanoes, which keep the water at a very comfortable temperature. There is plenty of wildlife to be seen in the surrounding hills and valleys. After the ride is finished, students will be transported back to the lodge where they will have time to shower and change.
