Copalita River Rafting
Discover the waterfalls and rapids of the Copalita River hands on. The river drains the steep mountains rising up to the sierras. A wild exciting ride that starts in the lower river and climaxes in the lagoon at la Bocana. The jungle and forest are awesome. Tall trees and a high canopy, coffee in the heights and bananas in the flats. This 2-hour trip will take in a variety of wild life that lives in and along the river. You will pass by the local villages and see the men fishing, women washing their clothes and the children playing in the water. As you near the ocean you will be enveloped by a wide variety of seabird life, including frigate birds, cormorants, pelicans, pink flamingos, rose breasted spoonbills, gulls and visiting migrating birds of North America.

This river is perhaps the best in Mexico: clean, green, warm and with awesome whitewater. The granite gorges and complex mixes of boulders and bedrock are a welcome change from the usual shoals and storm drains of the tropics. Combining rapids from class II to Class IV it is an exciting ride.
