Below, we've listed just a few of the responses we've received from students after completing one of our Spanish & Adventure Camps.
Don’t think I realized how much fun I had until I got back. It was by far one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. I’m trying to talk my mom into letting me come back next year.
Dear Marjo & Dana,
Hey guys it ADAM!!!!!! yeah you know the one in the band and all that noise. Hey I have had it on my to do list for a long time to say thank you very much for that wonderful experience in Playa Tamarindo, I loved it so so much and in a heart-beat I'd do it all over again. It was truly one of the greatest experiences i have ever had. Also, thank you Marjo for waiting with me at the airport until they cleared me, that helped me out a great deal. I hope you are all doing well, I am, and not a day goes by when I dont think about my life changing experience in Costa Rica and I have you both to thank for that.
We all miss Costa Rica so much its unreal! It was such an amazing and FUN experience! I still talk to a ton of the friends I made there and visit Cristina!
ISLS was one of the most unique and wonderful experiences of my life. It combined the fun and freedom of a perfect tropical vacation with the chance to not only be taught but emerged in the Spanish language and culture. The teachers were fun and funny, it was a rare time when I actually enjoyed going to classes! Looking back, I can’t believe how many different fun activities were fit into the short two weeks: zip-lining through the rainforest, snorkeling, hiking to waterfalls, surfing, white water rafting, and wandering through the little town watching the sunset that never failed too resemble the nicest of postcard pictures?I never wanted to leave. I came out of this program with fun memories, a better understanding of Spanish, and a whole new group of friends; it was an experience I will remember for the rest of my life.
I have to say that the Costa Rica trip was the best! There are many crazy things I am so glad I got to try, especially white water rafting, waterfall climbing and surfing. The people there were awesome too, plus it was so much fun having people from different countries. I actually really got Spanish into my brain in that trip. I could even talk to our tour guides and buy things in Spanish. It was great being in the small town and seeing the locals and the scenery in Costa Rica is unbelievable. Just an amazing experience. So many good times and jokes and pictures I seriously will never forget this trip.
This trip was one of the best experiences of my entire life. I went into the experience by myself and was a nervous wreck. I came out of experience more confident than I have ever had in my life. Not only did I learn to surf and experience all sorts of fun things like zip swinging through the rainforest... but I skipped a grade level of Spanish in school and made great friends.
The trip was well organized, the group leaders were great and enthusiastic.
I highly recommend it.
